You may have heard about the new nutrition standards required by the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). These standards provide for more fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and a reduction in added sugars and salt. But did you know Anser lunches exceed the nutrition standards set the NSLP? Our meals are prepared in house by the amazing Chef Nancie and are planned by Jessie Deason, Anser’s Food Service coordinator to be healthy, tasty and popular with students. Anser lunches provide fresh vegetables on the Healthy Choice Bar each day, a variety of in season fresh fruits, whole grains and house made salad dressings, soups and more. Anser does not serve pork, foods with high fructose corn syrup, or any foods with trans fats. We serve organic when we can.
