Applications for our enrollment lottery opens in October and closes in February. Please see the enrollment tab on our website for more information on your enrollment options. Students who apply after the lottery are placed on the waitlist and admitted as soon as seats become available.
School hours are 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with a late start on Wednesdays (9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). Drop-off begins at 8:00 a.m. each day.

Yes, Anser runs its own transportation program, providing busing before and after school, and for field work.
Yes, Anser offers a daily out of school program called Gertie’s Clubhouse for grades K-5th, which runs from 3:30 – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Full day care is available during most out-of-school days.
As we are a public school we follow the guidance from the Medical Freedom Act passed in 2025 which prohibits government and schools from mandating vaccines for attendance.
Yes, students in kindergarten through fifth grade have 40 minutes of recess each day, including a 10-minute morning recess, a 20-minute lunch recess, and a 10-minute afternoon recess. Middle school students have two daily breaks: a 10-minute morning break and a 20-minute break after lunch.
Anser partners has multiple after school clubs including a cross country club and gardening club. We also partner with community organizations to provide extracurricular activities to students such as SoleKids, and Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Our 7th and 8th grade students also partner with local junior high sports programs throughout the Boise School District.

No. We do not have school uniforms and students can even wear hats, especially with our cold winters! We do expect students to refrain from wearing clothing with objectionable content.
No, once a student has been enrolled, they do not need to re-apply to the lottery each year. We do send out a recommitment form each Winter to keep track of the students who intend to return the next year.
