Family Council

Anser’s Family Council is a group of engaged parents and caregivers who partner with school leadership to support a strong, connected school community. The Council serves as a bridge between families and the school, offering input, sharing perspectives, and helping ensure that family voices are heard in meaningful ways.

Family Council members collaborate with school leaders to provide feedback on school initiatives, review family communications, and support community-building efforts. They may also help with outreach, events, and opportunities that strengthen relationships across our school community.

Participation in Family Council is a great way to stay informed, contribute ideas, and make a positive impact at Anser. The time commitment is flexible, and all families are welcome to get involved. Family Council meets every month

Anser Family Council

We are a group of parents who function to encourage volunteerism and community building at Anser. We facilitate learning, teaching, connecting and extension of the Anser Charter School Mission beyond the walls of the classroom, to serve not only our school but the local community.
All parents and caregivers are welcome to attend family council meetings, presently the 2nd Monday at 6pm.

Anser Family Council Biographies

Jennifer Cozine

President

Our family joined Anser in the fall of 2020. We have been grateful for the opportunities our school offers, the amazing teachers, the staff and the supportive families we’ve been lucky enough to call friends. Andrew (5th grade) and Amelia (2nd grade) are looking forward to the new year! I’m grateful to be a stay at home mom, while pursuing other side gigs and desires as time allows. (Hit me up when you need a hiking buddy.) I have had a passion for bringing people (adults and children) together through volunteerism, the arts, and adventures of all sorts for most of my life. If we’ve not met yet, I hope we can meet soon.

Cali Eby

VICE PRESIDENT

We started at Anser in Kindergarten two years ago; my daughter Scout is now in 2nd grade. We love the Anser community and want to participate in more of the fun, meaningful events and efforts the school has to offer. Outside of school, Scout and I can often be found riding our bikes, exploring new Boise parks, and dancing at Green Acres or reading at the library.

Kendall Lincoln

Events Committee Lead

Hi there! My family was lucky enough to join the Anser community halfway through my son’s Kindergarten year in January 2022. This year Graham is in Alli’s 3rd grade crew and it will be my second year working with Anser’s Family Council. Outside of family and volunteering, my passions are reading, hiking, walking, nature conservation, and working in my garden. I am thrilled to be a part of helping Anser grow and build a strong community over the next few years.

Erik Moncada

Family Council Board Representative

I’m a stay home dad with my two kids, Mason (4th grade) and Cruz (2nd grade). I try to be involved with my kids as much as possible, to build friendships that will last them a lifetime. I teach and guide fly fishing part time through Idaho Angler, and practice underwater photography of game fish. I have been known to wield a purple lightsaber and have been sorted into the house of Hufflepuff at Hogwarts.

Amy Holmes

Past President, member

Hello! We have been an Anser family since Jan. 2021 when my son was in 2nd grade. Now all three of my kids attend Anser, Leo (7th grade), June (4th grade) and Isla (2nd grade). I have loved building community with all the incredible families at the school. I started out as a class coordinator and then joined the Family Council in Fall 2023. It has been a great way for me to get to know other families and to help build community throughout the school. Our family loves to go on road trips, camping, hiking, playing games and hosting dinner parties. Please don’t be shy to come say hi if you see me around! 🙂

Hello! Our family joined Anser in 2022 and our daughter, Kuiper (pronounced like Piper), is a 5th grader this year. This is my second year being involved with Family Council and I love being a part of the Anser community. I enjoy volunteering in the classrooms and helping parents stay updated on classroom activities and events. I have a passion for early childhood education and helping children and our community. I love traveling, plants, bike riding, skateboarding, seeing live music, and being around family and friends.

Hello!  My name is Katie Griffith, and Fall 2025 will kick off our third year at Anser, and my first year on family council!  My husband and I have 3 kids in 3 different crews, and we have loved being a part of the Anser community! I am a Portland transplant, but have lived in Boise most of my life. I graduated with a Child Development degree from BSU, and before having kids, worked with kids for many many years!  I like hanging out with my family outside, camping, biking, playing in the river, gardening, we like watching movies, and baking! We are looking forward to another great year at this amazing school!
