Please go the Anser Admissions page to view the results of the 2012-2013 lottery. All offers of enrollment will be offered via phone or email. This process can take a while so we ask that parents be patient as we work through the list. We will post an announcement via this website when all open spots have been filled. After the open spots have been filled the lottery list will become the waiting list used to fill any additional spots that become available between now and next February 2013.

Anser Lottery Tours and Open House

Anser will begin accepting lottery applications for the 2012-2013 school year as of January 1st, 2012. The 2012-2013 lottery will be held Thursday February 16th at 1:00pm at Anser. 2012

Tour and Open House dates: Tours: 1 hour, begin at 10:00am. Please RSVP. January 12th, January 25th and February 9th

Open House: Wednesday February 1st, 6:00pm-self guided tour, 6:30 presentation in the gymnasium.

CBC Cancelled- Normal school hours for all students

Hello Anser Families,

Due to the heavy snowfall CBC WILL BE CANCELLED TODAY. Students will remain in their classrooms and adhere to their normal schedule.

Kindergarten, AAYC, Junior High and Elementary students will be released at their normal times. DUE TO THE ROAD CONDITIONS, ANSER WILL PROVIDE PLAYGROUND MONITORING UNTIL 4:00PM. Traffic congestion will be reduced if some parents make plans to come after 3:30pm to pick up.

Our studen’ts safety is our number one priority. Please drive slowly near the school, and please be very careful and watch for students in the parking lot.

If you have an emergency and are having difficulty arriving at the school before 4:00pm please call the front office to let Margaret know. We will send all students not picked up by 4:00pm to the front entrance where parents can retrieve them.

Heather Banuelos is working with our community partners to extend our CBC module by one week. When arrangements are made parents will be informed

Winter Weather- In the event of school closure or CBC/Electives cancellation

Hello Families,

A winter storm is predicted for tomorrow, with 3-6 inches of snow accumulation possible. Anser follows the Boise School District policy for snow closures and will only close if Boise School District announces that they are closing. This happens extremely infrequently. If snow has accumulated before 7:30 am you should watch your local AM news program to see if Boise School District has announced a closure. We will endeavor to place any announcements regarding closures on our website as well.

CBC/Electives:

Anser staff will be monitoring the weather and the road conditions closely Wednesday and Thursday morning. In the event that it is determined that weather or road conditions are unsafe for student transport, CBC/Electives will be cancelled for the day. Staff will meet at 10:00am to assess conditions and an email will be sent out to families by 10:30am regarding any cancellations. A notice will also be placed on the Anser website. In the event that activities are cancelled, students will remain in their classrooms and follow their normal afternoon routines. If we do have to cancel CBC or Electives Heather Banuelos will be in contact with the providers of our activities such as the YMCA and Bogus Basin to see if an extra week can be added to the end of the module to make up for the missed week. If that is a possibility she will let families know as soon as possible.

Please be sure your students are dressed appropriately for the weather tomorrow with a warm coat, hat, gloves and water proof shoes. And Hooray for snow!!!

Harvest Ball Update

The Harvest Ball was so much fun and your attendance made a difference! Not only did we have a great turn out, but the money raised has allowed The Family Council to do something really special for our school. The $1200 proceeds will be distributed across the school to allow teachers to purchase items that their crew needs. Here is a list of how the funds will be distributed.

It is with heartfelt that we would like to recognize the time and effort put in by our Planning Committee: Erin McCarter, Linsey Riffle, Erika Affenita, and Hester Comstock, as well as the volunteers who helped on many levels! Our set up, ticket sales, and clean up crew were invaluable: Melissa Frazier, Bekkie Ritchie, Dolly Higgins, Penelope Gaffney, Amy Taylor, Erika Fulfer, Kathleen Carr, Hallie Davidson, Amy O’Brien, Rachel Burke and the Cutler family. Thanks to Diana Cryer and her assistant Cindy Charlesworth for creating the amazing gothic set for the photographs and to Kristen Raecke and Paula Perry for their photography skills.
